Mt Ruapehu Camp

Mt Ruapehu Cam

Hey bloggers,
On Tuesday the 20th Waikowhai Primary seniors are going to Mt Ruapehu. It's so close I cannot wait. The emotions that I am feeling right now is exciting and curious because I have been to the snow before but it would be lovely to try and snowboard again. I am feeling curious because I have been asking myself will it been hard for me to try snowboarding again and what if I fall on my face, hurt myself. The thing that worries me is that I might get hurt and when I am snowboarding I might bang into someone else, I am going to be nervous because I have never been this far away from my family and being in the snow with my friends. The place that is going to push me to my limits are Mt Ruapehu because I have never been to that mountain so I might be trying something new, as what the teacher said camp is one of the subjects that we are going to be doing in term 3. The thing that I am going to gain from camp is getting tired from all the leg movements and falling over all the time. I would feel tired and happy because the things that I have been doing in snowboarding are so tiring. I am going to feel happy because I had a lot of time to spend with my friends, families and teachers.

Jump Jam

Hey bloggers,
On Saturday 3rd of August, 14 students from Waikowhai Primary went to Oranga School, they went there because it was the Jump Jam Competition and 14 schools competed in the competition. Miss McGrath (Deputy Principle) and Mrs Law (One of the teachers from Waikowhai) came too, we competed in the 2nd scene. All the schools were amazing at dancing to the music. The 2nd scene was the Y5, Y6 and some of the Intermidiate were competing in the 2nd scene, Brett Fairweather is the person who tought the Y5, Y6's to learn all the different moves in some of the videos he does. There were 2 schools after us. We were on stage finally and Miss McGrath was so proud of us . We didn't place but we got Outstanding Sportmanship and that what Waikowhai is all about to respect others.
